Become part of the magic of theatre and join MADS

Join Muizenberg Dramatic Society in Cape Town and become part of a very special theatre society which prides itself on producing high quality shows at the Masque Theatre. We have made life-long friends and have greatly enjoyed the opportunity to try our hand at a variety of performing arts roles both on stage and behind the scenes.

If you are an actor or performer, you are welcome to audition for our next production. We often cast new members in our shows, but if you are unsuccessful in your first audition, there are still many other ways in which you can be involved.

People are pleasantly surprised at how quickly they become part of the team. MADS is a great place to learn new skills and many of our members are well qualified and are happy to share their experience.

If you would like to direct or be a production manager, choreograph or musically direct, we’d love to hear from you. MADS always welcomes new talent! If you are not a performer, you may be interested in making or sourcing costumes, designing sets, managing props, sound or publicity. Perhaps you’d like to be on the backstage crew or perform front of house duties?

Even if you do none of those things, enjoying our social events and joining the theatre outings are very good reasons to join Muizenberg Dramatic Society.
